Tuesday

last few days to be the King of Hearts!

The Art in Hand auction ends this Saturday! Right now, my King of Hearts bunny is a steal at $95! Click here if you want to watch it all week and then on Saturday night, jump on the scene at the last minute and make it your very own...

If you just want to own a deck of cards that includes an image of my piece (plus support a great cause, MY nonprofit organization) click here. Portland Project playing card decks are a mere $13!

Here's a picture of me last weekend at my Art Hop event! I got the Mayor of Portland Sam Adams to not only sport a pair of bunny ears, but to lead the crowd in a big bunny hop! Woo hoo! Click here to read more about his fun time at Art Hop.

See you this weekend at Art Hop!

Hello Beautiful Person!

Pardon me while I step away from the blog for a few more days and focus on seeing through this huge event I've been working madly on for the past nine months: Art on Alberta's 11th Annual Art Hop! I am wrapping up my tenure as President of my neighborhood's all volunteer art nonprofit and have been having a lot of fun putting together an exciting mix of art activities like community mural painting, a Destination DIY Stage hosted by Julie Sabatier, bitch magazine's stage including a feminist quiz show, TED fellow Colleen Flanigan's BioRocker Coral Conservatory Zone, a community stage and three music stages, and the Art in Hand Portland Playing Cards show, where my King of Hearts will be on display. For more information, visit Art on Alberta's website by clicking here, or show up to get yourself the printed program with all the information you need for a day of fun!

Monday

king of bunny love

Yay! It's finally time to announce my participation in a great project--the Art in Hand Playing cards! This is a deck of cards that features the work of 54 Portland artists, and yours truly got to design the King of Hearts!

All works are ready for your viewing pleasure at Bidding for Good - click here for the link to my card, but look around to see the entire deck, which is fabulous. My piece can be purchased through this auction site, and over 90% of the proceeds will go to my favorite nonprofit organization, Art on Alberta!

We'll be presenting all the works live and in person at the 11th Annual Art on Alberta Art Hop so you can see before you bid. This exhibition will be at our Grow Gallery May 14-16th, 2010, from 11-6pm each day. Grow Gallery is located at 1614 NE Alberta. Art Hop will be on May 15th.

Art on Alberta is also selling the card decks for only $13. Click here to order yours today!

Saturday

Hey Portland! My favorite nonprofit organization Art on Alberta is having a fundraiser tonight! Won't you join us for fun, prizes, and lots and lots of colors?

Thursday

Hey Kids! Looking for a screaming deal on some of my work, while simultaneously supporting a groovy community mural project in my neighborhood? Here's just a tiny sample of what you will find in the sale section of the Bunny with a Toolbelt Etsy site!

Monday

calling all Portland art lovers!

This weekend is the 10th annual Alberta Art Hop, run by my very favorite nonprofit organization, Art on Alberta! If you're a maker, we just opened a whole new section for vendors. Booth fees are affordable and we encourage artists to double up to make it even more cost-effective to show your art to a crowd of 10,000 or more art lovers.

The featured artist this year is Thelma Johnson Streat (1911-1959) whose work will be shown in four venues up and down Alberta Street. Click here for more information about Art Hop!
